How to use the templates
- Open the Excel file in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice. Type times as 8:30 AM or 08:30.
- Unpaid breaks go in minutes. Hours are shown as decimals, the way payroll needs them.
- A shift that ends after midnight is counted correctly.
- Prefer paper? Print the PDF, fill it in by hand and add it up with the time card calculator.
Questions
Are the templates really free?
Yes. Download, edit and share them as you like. A small line at the bottom mentions ClockBadge; you can delete it.
Do the formulas work in Google Sheets?
Yes. Upload the Excel file to Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets. The formulas work in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice.
How do I enter a night shift?
Type the times as they are, for example 22:00 in and 06:00 out. The template sees that the shift ended the next day and counts 8 hours.
What if I need more than 40 hours before overtime?
In the weekly time card, change the OT after (h) cell. The overtime and pay update at once.
